The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in partnership with the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), will host the "Walk for Education: CSR & Sustainability Fair" on January 24, 2025, at MIA Park. Under the theme "Help Educate Children," the event coincides with the UN International Day of Education and aims to raise funds and awareness for EAA's global projects supporting quality education for vulnerable and marginalized children.
The fair, open to the public from 1 PM to 9 PM, anticipates over 10,000 attendees, including schools and corporations. The event will feature symbolic walks led by corporate partners, inviting public participation to demonstrate solidarity with the cause of education. A school football tournament for children aged 10-12 will also be held, with trophies and awards for top players and goalkeepers. School groups will further contribute to the event with stage performances showcasing music, dance, and cultural presentations.
A key fundraising initiative, the "Buy a Brick and Build a School" campaign, invites individuals to donate QAR 100 per brick towards the construction of two Assalam schools in Qatar for underprivileged and disabled children. All proceeds from this campaign will directly support these schools, ensuring access to quality education for these children.
Corporations can participate through sponsorships ranging from QAR 5,000 to QAR 200,000, showcasing their CSR and sustainability initiatives while supporting EAA's mission. All sponsorship funds will directly support education projects, while also promoting sports, health, and inclusion among students in Qatar.
The fair will also offer diverse community activities, including art workshops focusing on calligraphy, drawing, and sketching, as well as children's games and activities like bouncy castles. Food and beverage vendors will be present, with a portion of their sales supporting EAA's educational projects in Qatar.
This event highlights the power of partnerships in promoting social inclusion and empowerment, emphasizing the importance of collective action in supporting education and enabling marginalized children to thrive. The fair aligns with EAA’s sustainability goals, specifically Quality Education for All (SDG4), Good Health and Well-Being (SDG3), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG17), demonstrating the positive impact of community and corporate collaboration on education. Attendees are encouraged to support the education of marginalized children worldwide through donations and contributions toward building schools in Qatar.
