Qatar Tourism (QT) has announced the August edition of the Qatar Calendar, presenting a broad programme of family-friendly, cultural and sporting events taking place across the country throughout the month.

the calendar offers activities designed to appeal to people of all ages and interests, with events hosted at various venues in Doha and beyond.

Several ongoing family attractions remain available during August. The Go Ninja Summer Camp will continue until August 27, while The Hangout at Msheireb Galleria in Msheireb Downtown Doha will welcome visitors through August 15.

The Dana Club Summer Camp 2026 is also continuing and is scheduled to run until August 31. Meanwhile, the Hala Summer Malls Activation programme remains active at several shopping destinations across Qatar through September 30, providing seasonal entertainment and interactive experiences for shoppers and families.

Sports enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of competitions and fitness activities this month. The “Beat the Heat” summer fitness race series remains underway at several locations and will continue until September 11. The MOQ Fit Club at Mall of Qatar is also offering activities through September 19.

On August 14, Aspire Indoor Track will host the Sports For All Federation Ladies Track Challenge 2026.

Doha will also serve as the venue for the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship 2026, taking place from August 19 to 29. Basketball supporters can attend the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers Second Round clash between Qatar and China on August 27 at Al-Gharafa Sports Club.

Adding to the sporting line-up, Aspire Dome will host the first-ever Run the Dome 2026 event on August 28 and 29.

The August calendar also features a range of artistic and educational initiatives. Qatar Museums continues to showcase the exhibitions Countryside: A Place to Live, Not to Leave and A Sneak Peek at the Qatar Auto Museum Project at the National Museum of Qatar.

The Msheireb Museums Summer Programme at Bin Jalmoud House remains open until August 13, offering a series of creative and educational workshops for participants of different age groups.

At the Museum of Islamic Art, the Diwani Calligraphy Workshop (Intermediate) will be held from August 2 to 5, giving participants the opportunity to develop their skills in one of the most refined styles of Arabic calligraphy.

The museum is also hosting a children’s summer camp in collaboration with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) from August 2 to 13, reflecting a shared focus on educational and awareness-based activities for young participants.

Meanwhile, the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will present Museum Explorer from August 3 to 12, providing visitors with an interactive journey through the museum’s exhibits and collections.

QT noted that the diverse programme of events scheduled throughout August reflects Qatar’s ongoing commitment to delivering enriching recreational, cultural and sporting experiences for residents and visitors alike.
