Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has unveiled an extensive calendar of conferences, workshops, and scientific events for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to clinical excellence, professional development, and enhanced patient care across Qatar.
A key highlight of the year will be the Qatar Health Congress 2026 (QHC 2026), themed “Innovation and Integration across Medical Disciplines.” Scheduled for January, this three-day event builds on the strong reputation of previous editions and is now open for registration via the HMC website.
The congress will serve as a premier scientific platform, offering cutting-edge updates in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties, including endocrinology, diabetes, rheumatology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, infectious diseases, allergy and immunology, as well as trauma, critical care, and artificial intelligence.
Preceding the main event, two days of courses, workshops, and symposia will be held. The program will feature at least four specialized tracks in a hybrid format, plenary lectures by renowned speakers, hands-on workshops such as point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), meet-the-expert sessions, and a comprehensive postgraduate course for physicians. More than 2,000 participants from Qatar, the Gulf, and beyond are expected, alongside 40 international speakers and over 100 local experts.
The year kicks off with the Uro-Oncology Conference and the “Communication That Cares” Workshop, taking place from January 8 to 10 at the Itqan Clinical Simulation & Innovation Center. This dual initiative combines updates in urological cancer care with training in compassionate communication.
From January 15 to 17, the Qatar International Rehabilitation, Geriatrics & Community Care Conference (QIRG3C 2026) will convene regional and global experts to discuss strategies for improving care for ageing populations and meeting the growing demand for community-based healthcare.
Later in the month, the 7th Qatar International Pharmacy Conference runs from January 22 to 25, focusing on drug safety, therapeutic advances, and the evolving role of pharmacy practice. Concurrently, from January 22 to 24, Intensive Care and Tracheostomy Care Workshops will provide practical training for multidisciplinary teams.
Early February will feature several high-level meetings, including the 1st Qatar International Reproductive Medicine Conference and the 19th Qatari Review Conference in Otolaryngology, scheduled from February 5 to 7. These events will address advancements in reproductive health, ENT surgical practices, and multispecialty case management. During the same period, the 3rd Qatar International Infectious Disease Conference will focus on global and regional challenges such as disease surveillance, vaccination strategies, and antimicrobial stewardship.
In April, HMC will host the Qatar International Thoracic Conference from April 2 to 4, followed by the Neuroscience, Stroke & Multiple Sclerosis Symposium on April 10 and 11. These specialized gatherings will spotlight the latest developments in respiratory and neurological care, underscoring HMC’s dedication to advancing subspecialty expertise.
