Beirut has received the first flight of Qatar’s humanitarian air bridge, carrying a specialized team from the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group, part of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), as part of ongoing relief efforts for those affected by the recent Israeli aggression.
The deployment comes in line with the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, reaffirming Qatar’s commitment to supporting Lebanon during times of crisis. The team arrived aboard the inaugural flight dedicated to providing emergency assistance and humanitarian relief to the sisterly Republic of Lebanon.
The aircraft transported a shipment of medical equipment and relief supplies jointly provided by the Ministry of Public Health and the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD). The aid is intended to support emergency response efforts and alleviate the suffering of civilians impacted by the hostilities.
This initiative forms part of the State of Qatar’s broader humanitarian role, aimed at standing in solidarity with affected nations and delivering timely assistance during emergencies. The arrival of the search and rescue team is expected to enhance on-ground response capabilities as relief operations continue in Lebanon.
