The Ministry of Interior (MOI), represented by the Penal and Correctional Institutions Department, has announced that products made by inmates are now available for purchase through the “Sooum” application.
In a statement shared on social media, the ministry confirmed that the initiative officially begins on Sunday, June 14, 2026. The department noted that the items produced within correctional facilities will be offered for sale through the MOI’s Sooum platform starting from this date.
The move aims to make inmates’ products accessible to the public through a digital marketplace, marking a new step in the ministry’s efforts to showcase and support rehabilitation initiatives.
