Lebanese President, Michel Aoun, received Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, in Beirut on Tuesday.

The Qatari Prime Minister conveyed greetings from HH the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to President Aoun, along with best wishes for the health and well-being of the President, and for the continued progress and prosperity of Lebanon. President Aoun reciprocated, sending his greetings to the Amir and wishing Qatar further development and growth.

Discussions centered on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly Qatar's support for Lebanon in the energy sector, and addressed various regional and international matters.

The Prime Minister reiterated Qatar's unwavering support for Lebanon and its people, emphasizing the Amir's directives to consistently assist the nation. He specifically highlighted Qatar's ongoing support for the Lebanese army and reaffirmed the nation's commitment to providing energy supplies, ensuring the delivery of necessary gas for electricity generation.

President Aoun expressed his gratitude to Qatar for its steadfast support, stating that Qatar's commitment provides hope for all Lebanese citizens.
