The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has announced its Ramadan campaign for 1444 AH, themed "Humanity First: Give to Charity." This initiative encompasses a variety of Ramadan-focused and ongoing development projects designed to assist 720,000 individuals across Qatar and 18 other nations.
Youssef Mohamed Al Awadi, Director of Resource Mobilization at QRCS, explained that the campaign will address immediate needs arising from recent crises, including the earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye, shortages of food and medical supplies in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, and food and water scarcity in parts of Sudan and Somalia. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the campaign aims to provide shelter, establish water wells, fund income-generating projects for families in need, distribute food packages, support bread production, offer medical treatment, alleviate debt burdens, and sponsor vulnerable families.
Individuals can contribute to the "Humanity First" campaign through various channels: the QRCS website (www.qrcs.org.qa), the QRCS mobile app, the donor service hotline (66666364), home donation collection (33998898), SMS donations (text "1" to 92552 for Iftar meals for a family throughout Ramadan), bank transfers (QIB, QIIB, and QNB), and QRCS donation booths in malls and shopping centers.
