The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that it has taken action against three individuals who were found practicing medical activities without holding valid licences at a private health centre.
According to the Ministry, the violations involved unlicensed practice in nursing, allied health professions, and laboratory technology. MoPH confirmed that all required legal procedures are currently being pursued against both the individuals involved and the non-compliant healthcare facility, in line with the laws and regulations governing healthcare practice in the State of Qatar.
The Ministry stated that the action forms part of its continuous monitoring and inspection campaigns, conducted by the Department of Healthcare Professions, to ensure that all healthcare practitioners and facilities comply with national regulatory requirements.
MoPH reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding patient safety and maintaining high standards across the health sector through regular oversight and enforcement measures.
The Ministry urged members of the public to seek medical services only from licensed healthcare facilities and practitioners who hold valid approvals issued by MoPH, stressing that this is essential to ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality healthcare.
MoPH also noted that the licensing status of healthcare professionals working in Qatar can be verified through the electronic service “Find a Registered Healthcare Practitioner”, available on the Ministry’s official website.
